Almost everyone has been approached by someone witnessing on the street who asked, point blank, “Have you been born again?” If you’re not a Christian when that happens, you probably think the person is a little strange. In fact, you might have the same question that Nicodemus put to Jesus: “What do you mean, ‘born again?’” (John 3:4).

The words Jesus used to describe salvation and conversion can be confusing, intimidating and unclear to a non-Christian. What the words describe, however, is nothing short of life-changing.
